Toronto police confirm an arrest has been made in connection with vandalism at the Etobicoke Civic Centre that saw the building’s windows destroyed as if a bomb had gone off inside.

Adam Peron, 28, has been charged in connection with the incident. He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

Officers were called to the scene around 4 a.m. Tuesday and located a number of chairs and a computer monitor at the building’s parking lot.

Windows were found shattered and a number of vehicles were also damaged.

Police say there was damage on every floor of the building, totalling more than $100,000. Twenty-three windows were damaged, along with furniture, office equipment and five city vehicles. Fire extinguishers were also let off.

Peron, of no fixed address, is charged with break and enter, mischief over $5,000, seven counts of mischief under $5,000, and one count each of fail to comply with recognizance and fail to comply with probation.
