2 Saskatoon banks robbed in less than an hour

SASKATOON – The same man may be responsible for two Saskatoon bank robberies. Both robberies happened less than an hour apart on Monday afternoon.

The first one happened around 2 p.m. at a bank in the 3000-block of Clarence Avenue South. According to police, a man entered the bank, proceeded to the counter and demanded cash.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The second robbery happened about 40 minutes later. A man entered a financial institution in the 300-block of Circle Drive East and demanded cash before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported in either robbery.

The man in both robberies was wearing checkered sweat-style pants, a dark coloured jacket, and a red ball cap with a logo on the top.
