Third man sought in Prince Albert, Sask. homicide

Two men are in custody and police are searching for a third in a Saskatchewan homicide investigation. Jonathon Lee Cowan, 23, was found dead on Jan. 9, 2016 in a Prince Albert apartment.

Initial reports at the time said he had been shot.

Reno Roy Keenatch, 20, has now been charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm while prohibited. He is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert province court on April 6.

Police have also charged Tyler Thomas Pechawis, 25, with second-degree murder. He will make his next court appearance on April 12 in Prince Albert provincial court.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Preston Spencer Dean Bird, 23. He is wanted for second-degree murder.

All three are from Prince Albert.
