About Martin: Martin O’Malley has worked for newspapers and magazines in Canada since the mid-1960s. Among his books are “The Past and Future Land,” “Doctors,” “Hospital,” “Gross Misconduct” and “Game Day,” an account of the Toronto Blue Jays he wrote with his son Sean. The Foundation for the Advancement of Canadian Letters named him Canada’s Author of the Year in 1989 for “Gross Misconduct,” which became a movie of the same name directed by Atom Egoyan. O’Malley also researched and wrote the movie “Giant Mine.”
