Vancouver police have been combing the area around Sexsmith Elementary School after an apparent shooting early Saturday morning.
Just after midnight a 21-year-old man was reportedly dropped off by his friends at Vancouver General Hospital with a gunshot wound in his upper body. The hospital was then briefly put on lockdown.

Police say the victim was with a group of men when they were approached by two young people. One of the pair fired a shot at the group.
The man’s injuries are non-life threatening and he is cooperating with police. No arrests have been made.
Police do not believe this incident to be gang-oriented.
