WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Jets recalled forward Nic Petan from the Manitoba Moose on Thursday. The Jets also returned defenceman Julian Melchiori.
Petan, 21, started the season with the Jets and scored one goal in 14 games before getting demoted to the Moose. In 47 games with the Moose Petan scored nine goals and 23 assists with 26 penalty minutes.

Melchiori, 24, was called up on an emergency basis on Monday with Dustin Byfuglien battling the flu. Melchiori appeared in one game with the Jets. He’s also played in 59 games with the Moose this season where he has two goals and four assists.
The Jets host Andrew Ladd and the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday.
