CALGARY- Owners of a southeast restaurant will be surveying the damage after a fire early Sunday morning.
The blaze broke out around 3:30 a.m. outside a business on 90 Avenue and Macleod Trail S.E.
It started in a dumpster and spread to the Rice for King restaurant.
A pub across the street was open at the time. One of the pub’s doormen ran across the parking lot with a fire extinguisher and tried to put out the flames.
About 50 people witnessed firefighters battle the fire. The restaurant was partially damaged.
No word on a cause.
