The wind brought a tree down onto some telephone cable lines on Clifton Road on Thursday afternoon.

Fire crews directed traffic while city crews dealt with cutting down the tree.

Telephone lines also came down on West Avenue near Pandosy Street.

Environment Canada says the winds in the Okanagan are the remnants of the “weather bomb” that hit coastal B.C. overnight.

They are rapidly dissipating as they hit the mountains.
