A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after two women were sexually assaulted within blocks of each other in the Oak Street area of Vancouver Sunday night.
Police say a woman was walking her dog around Alder Street and West 10th Avenue at around 10:15 p.m. when she was approached from behind and grabbed by a stranger.
Another call came in around 10:30 p.m. with reports of a similar incident near Birch Street and West 13th Avenue.

VPD spokesperson Randy Fincham says they are investigating four previous assaults in the same area, spanning the period from Feb. 24 and March 3.
Fincham says it is too early to tell if the same person is responsible for the previous four incidents.
“But given the circumstances of what happened last night, we will be looking at the four previous events as well,” says Fincham.
