REGINA – Residents may have noticed a heavy police presence downtown Monday night after the Regina Police Service’s Explosives Disposal Unit was called in to the casino to investigate a suspicious package.

Officers responded around 5:00 p.m. after a staff member found the small package near the Show Lounge entrance of Casino Regina.

Officers secured the scene and after investigating the package determined it was not dangerous.

The public is reminded to always call police if they notice any suspicious package that looks out of place or unusual.
