Last Election: This is a new riding. In the old Regina Dewdney riding Gene Makowsky of the Saskatchewan Party beat NDP candidate Kevin Yates by just under 1900 votes, 61 per cent to 35 per cent.
History: This will be the first election that there has been a Regina Gardiner Park riding with 75 per cent of this riding formally being Regina Dewdney, 15 per cent from Regina Wascana Plains, and the final 10 per cent from Regina Northeast.
