A machete-wielding man was fatally shot by police in Houston, Texas on Tuesday after becoming agitated for missing a chance to buy a ticket for a bus trip according to a KPRC News report.

Video captured the man brandishing the large machete in a parking lot. Police arrived quickly on the scene and surrounded the man trying to get him to calm down and relinquish the weapon.

Police kept their distance from the man, but at one point the man tries to steal a police car, smashing out a window and trying to grab the keys from a police officer.

Unsuccessful, the man continues to act aggressively with the machete still clutched into his hand.

As a few more minutes go by, the man can be seen going behind some cars where he is followed by officers.

Police said the man tried to swing at them so they tasered him, but after that failed to subdue him, shots can be heard ringing out on the video. The man had been fatally shot and died in the parking lot.

Police did not release the man’s name, but did say he has a family in the Houston area.
