KELOWNA – When a blaze breaks out in an abandoned, boarded up house there’s a good chance it’s suspicious.
That’s the case with a fire at about 2:00 a.m. Friday in Kelowna.

The 9-1-1 caller reported smoke coming from a house on the 600 block of Rutland Road North.
There was no one in the home when fire crews arrived and doused the fire in the basement.
The cause is under investigation.
