WINNIPEG — Her photo has faded, many are torn and have blown away. But the desire and desperation to bring Thelma Krull home isn’t gone.
“If you don’t have hope what do you have,” Connie Muscat, Krull’s close friend said. “We’re really holding onto those stories of people miraculously coming back after years.”
56-year old Thelma Krull went missing July 11 during a hike in the Valley Gardens area. The same area where 17-year old Cooper Nemeth disappeared on Valentine’s Day.

“Unfortunately we have something major in common,” Muscat said. “There are very few people that share that.”
For weeks, Krull’s family and friends put up posters, searched streets and bushes.
Now, seven months later Cooper’s family and friends are doing the same.

“Sometimes when you’re feeling the worst you just need to go out and search,” Muscat said.
Muscat is friends and worked with Krull. She said she hasn’t stopped looking for her but is now also looking for Cooper.
“I don’t think there will ever be a missing person now that we’re not out there,” Muscat said.
She knows the two missing cases are not connected but again feels helpless.
“People ask all the time, have they not found that lady yet and that is a terrible feeling.”
