Truck driver in hospital after losing control in Vaudreuil-Dorion

MONTREAL – The Les Cèdres exit of the A-30 is closed after a trucker lost control of his vehicle, slamming into an overpass.

It happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

“The driver was trapped inside his vehicle,” explained Ingrid Asselin, spokesperson with the Sûreté du Québec.

Emergency crews with Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC freed the man; he was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

“It took a good two hours to free him,” said Asselin.

The highway at the la Cité des jeunes exit is expected to reopen by early afternoon.
