Alcohol believed to be factor in truck crash with Saskatoon Transit bus

SASKATOON – Police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash involving a truck and a Saskatoon Transit bus Monday. At around 12:30 p.m. CT, officers were called to a collision at the corner of 33rd Street West and Avenue D North.

A damaged truck was found resting against a parked car.

After speaking with witnesses, police say the truck appears to have collided with the city bus and then bounced off a number of poles and trees before it came to a rest.

No injuries were reported. The driver of the truck was taken into custody without incident.

The police traffic unit is investigating.
