UPDATE: Sask. rancher pleads guilty after stolen property worth $1.2 million seized

Mounties have seized alleged stolen goods, including five John Deere farm tractors, at a rural property near Donovan, Sask., west of Saskatoon. The seizure, worth over $1.2 million, was made on Thursday.

Police say the farm machinery and implements were stolen from both private owners and dealerships in the Saskatoon, Biggar, Outlook and Rosetown areas.

Iain Stables, 38, is charged with 16 counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, seven counts of theft over $5,000, five counts of theft of a motor vehicle and a single break and enter charge.

Stables will make his first court appearance on April 14 in Saskatoon provincial court.

Along with the farm tractors, police say they seized two John Deere balers, two John Deere side-by-sides, two Dodge trucks, a cattle hauler, a car hauler, a haybuster, a mower and a tiller.
