Expect more delays on the Pattullo Bridge.
From May 2 until September 30 the bridge will be down to one lane in each direction.
TransLink is warning drivers to plan an extra 20 to 40 minutes of travel time in the morning peak period and 10 to 30 minutes in the afternoon rush.
It is advising bridge users to start planning ahead and thinking of faster alternatives including transit or other crossings.
The bridge will be closed to all traffic two nights a week and one weekend a month.
The Pattullo will also be closed from the evening of April 29 at 8 p.m. to the morning of May 2 at 5 a.m. so crews can set up equipment.
A similar closure will occur in late September.
About 75,000 motorists use the bridge every day.
The lane changes and closures are part of a $10 million rehabilitation plan to keep the bridge safe until a replacement is built.
