WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed seven new players to its roster, after a busy day of free agency.
The team’s General Manager, Kyle Walters talked about the new line up on Wednesday afternoon.
“We need to start winning football games,” Walters said. “There is pressure to win. Last season wasn’t good enough and we need better football players.”

On Tuesday, the Blue Bombers signed promising receiver, Ryan Smith to a two-year contract on the opening day of CFL free agency. He’s played his entire two-year CFL career with the Roughriders, and led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns last season, finishing with 991 yards and seven majors off 59 catches.
Winnipegger Andrew Harris also signed a three-year contract with the Blue Bombers. Harris has played his entire six-year career with the BC Lions, racking up 4,259 rushing yards, 2,639 receiving yards and 45 touchdowns.

The Bombers also announced the signing of veteran kicker Justin Medlock, who is the most accurate kicker in CFL history; Canadian defensive tackle Keith Shologan; running back Pascal Lochard; and lineman Jeff Keeping.
