WINNIPEG – All 20 city libraries celebrated ‘Take your child to the library day’ with performances and activities.
At Millennium Library downtown, children’s entertainer Jake Chenier performed and other activities were held like puppet shows and games.
“We’re emphasizing talk, sing, read, write and play which are literacy building skills for children so we’re inviting people to come here to the library and practice these skills,” said Tamara Opar with Millenium Library.
Children were also able to get a library card at the event which was being held for the first time.
