Pedestrian killed by CN Rail train in Brampton, Ont., causes GO delays

TORONTO — A pedestrian struck and killed by a CN Rail freight train near Bramalea GO station in Brampton, Ont., is causing delays for GO Trains on the Kitchener line during rush hour.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. Monday.

GO Transit says trains leaving Union station will travel to Malton station where GO buses will be available for Brampton and Bramalea.

It says a train at Bramalea will travel westbound to Georgetown with bus connections to Acton, Guelph and Kitchener.

Peel region police are investigating.
