Man busts up own store in effort to deter thief
WATCH ABOVE: An owner of a convenience store used a crow bar on his own store as he tried to stop an armed robber last Saturday in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – Jan 28, 2016

To look big and make a lot of noise is what we’re usually told to do if we were ever confronted by a bear.

That type of thinking seemed to work for a convenience store owner in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma last Saturday, who swung a crow bar wildly causing all sorts of commotion, eventually thwarting a would-be robber who was pointing a gun and threatening to shoot if he didn’t get money.

Tho Banh can be seen on his own store security camera footage, swinging a crowbar he had picked up. But instead of hitting the robber, he was smashing his own store shelving, possibly in an effort to scare the thief.

Both Banh and the suspect can be seen running back and forth across the front counter. Eventually the suspect gets frustrated and exits the store without any money.

Police are still looking for the suspect saying “obviously we want to get him identified and off the streets before he can do something like this again and maybe hurt somebody,” Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department said.
