CALGARY – Police are speaking with a driver after a pedestrian was hit in southeast Calgary on Thursday.
Investigators said a vehicle struck a woman in the area of Blackfoot Trail S.E. and 46 Avenue S.E. at around 12 p.m. The driver didn’t initially remain at the scene, but later stopped in the area.
EMS confirmed one woman, believed to be in her 30s, was hit by a semi truck (tractor/trailer unit) and taken to Foothills Medical Centre.
EMS said she was in serious, but stable and non-life-threatening condition “with various soft-tissue and internal injury.”
