NAKUSP — Two residences at a mobile home park in Nakusp have been evacuated after police found devices that may be explosives.
According to police, they found what appeared to be dynamite while executing a search warrant at a residence in the Canyon Trailer Park on 9-A Avenue this morning.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation of illegal possession of explosives.
Police have a man in custody and is cooperating with the investigation.

They say the evacuation was taken as a precaution until the RCMP’s Explosives Detection Unit can examine the evidence.
A explosives-detection dog has also been called to the scene.
