SASKATOON – Reid Duke scored a hat trick as the Brandon Wheat Kings downed the Saskatoon Blades 6-2 on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action. Jayce Hawryluk added a pair of goals while Macoy Erkamps tacked on three assists. John Quenneville had a goal and two assists to round out the scoring for Brandon (29-13-4).

Cameron Hebig scored both goals for the Blades (17-27-4).

Logan Thompson made 18 saves for the win as Brock Hamm turned away 25-of-31 shots in defeat.

The Wheat Kings converted twice on seven power plays while Saskatoon was 0 for 3.

The Blades head to Regina next to play the Pats on Friday.
