KINGSTON, Ont. – The Ontario Provincial Police are conducting a manhunt after an inmate escaped from Collins Bay Institution.
A statement from the Correctional Service of Canada says inmate Marc Leroux was missing during the 11:15 a.m. head count at the minimum-security facility Saturday.
The CSC notified the OPP’s Joint Penitentiary Squad and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Leroux is described as 50 years old, measuring 5’ 9” and weighing 177 lbs. He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and brown hair.
He is serving a two-year sentence for break-and-enter and failure to comply with a condition order.
