EDMONTON – The Edmonton Oilers suffered a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars Thursday, but the defeat was even more painful for Matt Hendricks.

The Oilers forward blocked a shot in the second period where no player wants to block a shot.

A photo posted on Twitter after the game by Hendricks shows exactly where the puck hit him.

Hendricks used the opportunity to thank the makers of the protective piece of equipment, which saved him from serious injury.
