Aquatics staff in Penticton are being credited for their quick action in rescuing a woman from the Community Centre pool Friday night.
The woman had to be pulled from the pool at around 7p.m. Friday night. A Community Centre spokesperson says staff were responding to a medical emergency.
Lori Mullin says the woman was unresponsive when she was brought out of the pool. Staff administered CPR and used a difibulator to revive the woman.
The patient was breathing when paramedics arrived, and she was taken to hospital, where she continues to receive treatment.
The pool was closed following the incident, but re-opened Saturday morning.
