A 22-year-old man was arrested and accused of driving impaired and crashing into a railway traffic signal post in New Glasgow, N.S., on Monday night.
Police were called to the collision on High Street and charged the Pictou County man, who suffered minor injuries in the collision, with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
A picture provided by police showed significant damage to the car’s front end as it rested near train tracks and partially on top of the pole.
The arrest happen at about 10:25 p.m., according to a New Glasgow Regional Police press release.
The man is set to appear in Pictou provincial court on March 21.
