MONTREAL – Police are looking for a man in his 20s after what police are calling a home invasion in Lachine early Sunday morning.
According to police, it was shortly after 2 a.m. when the suspect rang the doorbell of an apartment in a housing complex on 33rd Avenue near Victoria Street.
A man in his 60s answered the door and was beaten over the head with a blunt object.
The suspect then fled the scene without entering the home of the victim.
The injured man was treated on site by paramedics. His life is not in danger.
Police are looking for a white male, approximately 6′ tall, with a muscular build, who was wearing a black jacket.
The motive of the attack is still unclear.
The investigation is ongoing.
