Police investigate Montreal-North stabbing

MONTREAL – Police have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with an early morning stabbing in Montreal-North.

Police were called to an apartment building near the corner of Langelier Boulevard and Renoir Street at 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

At the scene, they found a 27-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was arrested outside the building and taken into police custody for questioning.

Investigators have yet to determine the circumstances leading up to the stabbing. They said the investigation is ongoing.
