Skating set to open at Assiniboine Park New Years Eve

WINNIPEG — If you’d like to ring in the New Year by going for a skate at the park, you’re in luck.

The Assiniboine Park announced the Riley Family Duck Pond will open for skating at noon on Dec 31.

Along with skating, a toboggan run just south of the Duck Pond will also be open and visitors can warm up by the fireplace inside the Qualico Family Centre. The Park Cafe will also be open.

The Assiniboine Park Zoo will also be offering free admission to children under 12 until Jan 3.
