HAYWARD, Calif. — A San Francisco Bay Area judge granted a restraining order against a woman now charged with a hate crime and battery after being recorded making anti-Islamic slurs and throwing coffee at a Muslim man who was praying in a park.

KNTV reports Tuesday that Judge Jeffrey Brand ordered Denise Slader to stay 200 yards away from Rasheed Albeshari, as well as Lake Chabot Regional Park.

Her defense attorney, Jerry Lipkin, also did not comment, the station reports.

Slader has previously told the station that the Muslim religion is “dangerous” and her actions were “instinctual.”

She is on administrative leave from her job as a program technician for the parole division of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. She is due back in court next month.
