WINNIPEG — CF Polo Park has set a record for the number of shoppers through its doors in the past week. The mall’s general manager Deborah Green says Polo Park saw two per cent more shoppers than last year on Boxing Day alone, rougly 89,000 on a single day. That makes December 26 the biggest shopping day ever for the mall, adding to the busiest week ever.

Total numbers for the week haven’t yet been calculated but it’s anticipated numbers will be up 2 per cent overall.

Green says the low Canadian dollar kept more shoppers here at home and adds the decent weather helped too.
