MOUNT ALBERT, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle and killed along Highway 48 on Saturday night.
Police received a report of a collision near Princess Street, approximately 17 km northeast of Newmarket, just after 8 p.m.

An unidentified 58-year-old man was struck by a single car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the roadway was dark at the time and the driver remained on the scene. No charges have been laid.
