KELOWNA — The snowfall in the valley has kept City of Kelowna crews busy ensuring roads are clear for motorists. With that comes a reminder for residents and businesses who are responsible for clearing snow from sidewalks adjacent to their property.

Residents are also encouraged to help their neighbours, like seniors, who may find snow clearing tough to do on their own.

The city removes snow and de-ices municipal roads, except Highways 33 and 97, based on their priority status which is determined by the amount of traffic on the routes.

The city says it’s also helpful for residents to move vehicles off the roads before snow falls, especially in cul-de-sacs.
