MONTREAL — Sun Youth served 15,000 people this week in its annual Christmas basket drive.
Success is difficult to measure for the charity, according to spokesperson Tommy Kulczyk.
On the one hand, 500 more people got baskets this year than last year.

On the other hand, 500 more people needed them.
“A lot of it has to do with the rising price of food,” said Kulczyk.
Just like every year, about 2,000 volunteers came out to participate in the basket drive, which lasted the week before Christmas.
The last basket went out around 1 p.m. Christmas Eve.
Sun Youth started taking registrations in September.
Children under 12 got a new wrapped toy and were entered into a draw for one of 65 bicycles.
