Dillon RCMP say missing northern Sask. man found dead

RCMP announced on Tuesday that a missing man was found dead in northern Saskatchewan. The body of Ernest Sylvestre, 68, was found by a search party approximately one kilometre from his vehicle.

Sylvestre’s vehicle was found on a bush road west of the community of Michel Village, located near Buffalo Narrows, Sask.

Dillon RCMP cancelled the missing person request on Monday evening.

The office of the chief coroner attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities say foul play is not suspected.

Sylvestre, of Michel Village, was reported missing on Dec. 19 after he was last seen near his home on Dec. 14.
