Quebec doctor admits to botching circumcisions

MONTREAL – A Montreal doctor has admitted to botching more than 30 circumcisions on babies dating back to 2010.

The procedures took place at the Alpha Clinic on Guy Street.

Dr. Raymond Rezaie faces 31 complaints related to circumcisions done between 2010 and 2013.

The Quebec College of Physicians found that many of the babies suffered major complications and had to undergo corrective surgery.

The College and the defence have both recommended that Rezaie be suspended for one month and pay a $20,000 fine.
