KELOWNA — A five-car pileup on Harvey Avenue and Burtch Road in Kelowna sent two people to hospital and caused significant traffic delays Monday afternoon.

It happened just as snow started falling, but police don’t believe road conditions were a factor in the crash.

“Roads appear to be wet but it doesn’t appear to be a factor in the incident,” says Cst. Aaron Dermake.

Two people were sent to Kelowna General Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

“It appears that a truck failed to stop and rear-ended a red pick-up truck causing a chain reaction,” says Dermake.
