Bothwell Cheese issues recall over possible Listeria contamination

WINNIPEG — A Manitoba cheese company is recalling several shredded cheese products over concerns they may be contaminated with Listeria.

Bothwell Cheese Inc. is recalling its white cheddar shred (10 kg), old cheddar shred (10 kg), mild shred (10 kg), old shred (6.81 kg) and mozzarella blend shredded cheese (340 g).

They are all either from lot number 151030 or have a UPC number of 05889834021.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency warns the products should not be consumed or used by any retailers or food service establishments.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the products.
