Edmonton firefighters called to blaze at southwest fourplex

EDMONTON- Crews were called to a fire at a southwest fourplex around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out at a building west of Terwillegar Drive and Haddow Drive.

Everyone inside the residence was evacuated as a precaution and at 11 p.m., officials said the fire was still not under control.

They said flames could be seen coming out of one of the units.

Nobody was injured and the extent of damage caused by the fire is unknown.

People living in the affected unit likely won’t be able to return home Thursday night, according to fire officials.

They did not say what caused the blaze.
