Alberta theft suspect steals cellphone, snaps selfie

EDMONTON — Cochrane RCMP are looking for help identifying a man suspected of stealing a vehicle, cellphone and credit cards.

RCMP hope the selfies the suspect allegedly snapped with the stolen cellphone can help in their investigation.

On Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 a vehicle was stolen from the Big Hill Leisure Pool parking lot in Cochrane, Alta. The victim’s cellphone and credit cards were also stolen.

RCMP say surveillance video shows the suspect using the stolen credit cards at the Calgary Crowfoot Coop.

Officers have since recovered the cellphone and the vehicle.

On Thursday, RCMP released a couple of selfies the suspect allegedly took of himself with the stolen cellphone.
