WINNIPEG — Looking to make a delicious and unique cookie to impress this holiday season? Global’s Morning News joined Shel Zolkewich on how to create some holiday cookie recipes.
“You want to give yourself lots of time to make your cookies, so you can make the dough the night before and they can chill overnight,” Shel Zolkewich explained.
An orange shortbread and mint chocolate chip cookies were the recipes featured.
“The mint chocolate chip ones have flattened out and have this frosty little coating on it and are absolutely delicious as is, they have sort of a brownie texture.”
And when it comes to the most important tip for baking, “Pick recipes that are easy like this, so start with something easy and anything that is baked from the heart is a great gift.”
