Can’t take the Star Wars: The Force Awakens anticipation any longer? Don’t worry – Google’s latest Chrome experiment will definitely tie you over, or distract you until the movie launches at the very least.
Dubbed Lightsaber Escape, the web-based game turns your smartphone into a lightsaber, allowing you to battle Stormtroopers with just a flick of the wrist.
To play, all you need to do is go to Google’s Lightsaber Escape website, which will give you a unique URL to enter on your smartphone’s web browser. Once you enter the URL on your phone, it will instruct you to hold it up to your computer’s screen to calibrate and soon enough you’ll be battling Stromtroopers on your lunch break.

Google has been collaborating with Disney, which owns the Star Wars franchise, to launch a series of tech experiences to market the movie.
In November, the tech giant announced it would launch a Star Wars virtual reality experience for Google Cardboard. Google even integrated a Star Wars themed Easter Egg into its search engine – just type “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” into Google’s search bar to see it.
