Police seek female suspect in unprovoked downtown stabbing

TORONTO – Police have released surveillance camera images of a woman wanted in an apparent unprovoked stabbing at a downtown drugstore.

Police say the incident took place Friday afternoon just before 3 p.m. in a Shoppers Drug Mart in the underground PATH system at 66 Wellington Street West.

The female suspect entered the store  and “stabbed the victim without provocation,” according to police.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries.
