Bo Levi and fiancee overwhelmed by support in launch of ‘Mitchell’s Miracle Day’

CALGARY – You can think of Bo Levi Mitchell and his fiancee, Madison as Santa’s little helpers.

The Stampeders quarterback introduced ‘Mitchell’s Miracle Day’ Thursday, a new initiative to help make this Christmas a special one for two Calgary kids.

Just 24 hours after putting the word out, they received an overwhelming response from Calgary businesses and people willing to donate.

“The biggest thing to me has just been individual Calgarians,” said Mitchell. Not businesses, not restaurants just individuals who have hit me up and said I’ll go buy a gift card, where do you want gift cards from, I just want to help.”

Mitchell and his fiancee spent Friday collecting each gift, in-person from all around the city.

“I think that everyone that gave a donation today should be really happy with themselves because they did give this family a Christmas,” said Madison.

On Sunday, Bo Levi and Madi will take the young boy and young girl selected for a full day of shopping and fun, including bowling, at Chinook Mall.

They will also get all the donated gifts from generous Calgarians.

“Being able to see the reaction on their faces and how it affects them, I just can’t wait to see their faces,” said Mitchell.
