Blaine Lake, Sask. Mounties say missing teen found to be safe

UPDATE: On the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 8, RCMP announced Robyn Lafond has been located safe and sound.

Mounties from Blaine Lake, Sask. are asking the public for help in locating a missing teen. Robyn Lafond, 17, was reported missing to police on Monday evening.

She was last seen around 2 p.m. CT that day leaving Leask Community School.

Lafond normally lives with her father on the Mistawasis First Nation. Family and police say they are concerned for her whereabouts.

Lafond is aboriginal, five-foot eight with a slim build, short brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple sweater, glasses and carrying a purple backpack.

Police say she may be with her boyfriend, who is from the Witchekan First Nation.
