REGINA – Government House is turning 125 years old, and officials are celebrating in true Government House fashion… with commemorative jewelry.

Saskatchewan based jeweler Hillberg and Berk designed a special crown pendant.

“The crown represents a story that we tell everyday here at Government House,” said executive director Carrie Ross. “Our relationship as Canadians to the Crown is part of our educational program and part of our story that we share with visitors from the local community and from around the world.”

The pendant features a sparkling crystal set in silver-plated brass. It can be worn as a brooch or on chain and costs $125.

Profits will go to the Government House Historical Society; a non-profit that works to preserve, promote and enhance the public heritage site.
