Police said the man used a key to enter the apartment with the woman still inside at the time of the incident.
The victim questioned the male on how he got the key and proceeded to lead her to the building superintendent’s office.
That was when she was allegedly punched in the face after she tried taking a photo of the man with her cell phone.
The suspect then took her cellular device and fled the scene.
The man is described as black, light-skinned, 5’8″ tall, 160 pounds, with a goatee.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
